To obtain something fairly similar to my hair design It was necessary to use a wig, specially because my model has long brown hair.

I ordered a human hair wig on ebay, which was in pretty good condition. I slightly modify the front knotting some hair to change the front hairline a little bit in order to obtain a more similar fringe and front according to my design.

I then added quite a lot of white yac hair all around the wig. I was afraid I might ended up making it look old but it turned out great. The reason I did that is because I wanted my character to look tribal, and I therefore took inspiration from Australian Aborigens hair. 

After I added enoug hair, I styled the hair with a hair-straightner ( which is why I didn't considered synthetic hair, as they would burn ), hairspray and comb trying to give the wig a bit of a messy look ( there were no barbers in my story and my character is the first of a new species after humanity died so it would look silly with a professional hairstyle ). I had to do it next to an open window, wearing a paper safety mask, as it smelled a bit like toxic product. 

Then I gave my wig a haircut. I'm happy with the result, turned out better than what I though.
