The first thing to do is to make a template. The template can be simply done by using transparent tape, clean film and a permanent pen. Firstable pin the model's hair with some clips, and try to obtain the shape of the head so keep the hair as flat as possible. Do not apply any hair gel. Now measure the head. It is a good idea to keep a wig measurement form , to make sure you don't forget anything. This is what you need to measure :

- Head circumference

- Front to back

- Ear to ear

- Ear front ( over the top )

- Temple to temple

- Nape

- Temple to temple ( behind )

- Top of ear to corner of nape

 

Cover the head with clean film, make sure to go a bit over the hair line. Secure it with tape. Draw the hairline with the permanent pen, pay particular attention to get the right line around the ears. Write the model's name and sign where is the hair party. Go over the permanent pen with some tape so it wont go away.
